Welcome to Blue Dolphin Craft
Welcome to our new blog post! I'm so glad you could join us. In this time of doubt and uncertainty, I believe we need some joy and distraction to help us through. One of the things people have been talking about with isolation is how to pass the time. I often find that time passes very quickly when we are absorbed in an activity that we love. Creating something beautiful, whether it be a gift for someone else or a keepsake for ourselves is very rewarding. Whether you are new to crafting or an old hand or maybe you are looking for something to keep the kids positively occupied, you have come to the right place for some ideas.
Two of the most difficult things that people find when starting a craft project is the idea that they don't know when or where or what to start with and the other is a fear of "getting it wrong" or being judged badly for their attempts.
One thing that can help with these fears is to pretend we are creating as if we are small children. In most people’s lives, there was a time when it was ok to colour outside the lines, things didn’t need to be perfect. It can help if we can get back to that carefree attitude. I suggest using a child’s sticker book. This might sound strange, but it really does work. Before starting a project, free yourself up and just place some stickers on a page. You can’t really get it wrong, but you are creating. Bluey is one of my favourite characters and I have a sticker book full of bluey's adventures. Give it a try and let me know how you go.
